This Is Not A Love Song is the fourth studio album by British soul innovator Omar, originally released in 1997. Blending neo‑soul, jazz, funk and hip‑hop influences, the album showcases Omar’s signature warm production, rich vocal phrasing and genre‑blurring arrangements.
Highlights include the UK charting single Say Nothin’, presented here in both its original version and the later collaboration with Ol’ Dirty Bastard, plus a soulful reinterpretation of The Stranglers’ Golden Brown.
This 2023 Music On Vinyl reissue is pressed on 180‑gram audiophile gold and black marbled vinyl, remastered and limited to 750 individually numbered copies.
