Welcome to my auction - Up for your consideration is this late Qing Dynasty or early Chinese Republic cloisonne snuff bottle. The bottle is done in traditional old colors and designs with deep blue and yellow lotus flowers front and back, white lotus flowers on sides, dark green flowing leaves, turquoise and pale pink swirls all on an iron red ground. The rim has the repeating ruyi design with the foot repeated in turquoise fish scale design. The design continues onto the top which has a gold gilt finial with heavy gilt remaining on the inside collar as shown. It's rather unusual to have an inset spoon and wide mouth bottle, but I'm sure was easier to fill. One side is made flat so it rests in your pocket easier. No identifying marks found, missing the cork and spoon.
SPECIAL NOTE - Thank you for supporting small business! Please take time to check out my Store Wide Sale going on now!CONDITION - The bottle is in nice, antique, pre-owned condition! Original estate found patina showing some normal age/use wear, age related pitting, some loss of gilt, a little enamel damage around rim and on lower sides as shown. Please see photos as part of description and condition.
SIZE - It stands approximately 3 7/8" tall with top, 3" without, 2 5/8" wide across shoulder, 1" thick.
