La Man 100 della Waterman è nata nel 1983 per commemorare i 100 anni di vita della ditta stessa, e si è posizionata nella fascia altissima di gamma, nel senso che è stata per anni, prima dell'avvento della Edson, la penna ''principe'' della casa, la più grande e la più costosa, in diretta concorrenza con la Meisterstuck 146 della Montblanc e con la M800 della Pelikan.
Molto ben fatta, i materiali sono davvero di primissima qualità, ben assemblata, robustissima e semplice nell'uso, la Man 100 è stata, e lo è ancora, un ''must'' nella sua fascia di prezzo e qualità.
Questo esemplare ora in vendita è NUOVO, mai usato, mai inchiostrato neppure per prova pennino, è perfetto ed intonso in ogni sua parte.
Il pennino, in oro 18k, è di misura F.
Il prezzo, alla fine degli anni '90, era in Italia di ben 645.000 lire, una cifra elevatissima per l'epoca, pari ad olltre 330,00 euro, infatti troviamo all'interno della scatola un'etichetta con 645.000 lire, e all'esterno della stessa un'altra etichetta, probabilmente databile primi anni 2000, con la cifra di 332,75 euro...
La penna è completa della bella scatola, del tipo "grande", con converter, libretto, card di garanzia ancora in bianco ed una scatola di cartucce.
