An exceptional vintage real fur coat made from Persian lamb (karakul) in a gorgeous velvety glossy black with the characteristic rippled, sculptural texture throughout. 

Unlabelled, but clearly a very well-made vintage piece.
Fits approximately a UK size 10–12.

Condition is excellent. Such nice pieces in such good condition like this do not come up often.

Period estimation: Late 1960s to 1970s. This is based on the longer length, the combination of karakul body with fox collar and matching hat, and the more elegant, formal overall feel. Earlier examples tend to be heavier and more rigid; later 1980s pieces usually show bolder proportions or more exaggerated shoulders.

The model: All of the clothes are modelled by me, for reference I'm 5'8 tall with a 38" bust, 28" waist, 37" hips, usually wear a UK 10 for dresses, 10-12 for trousers, and most of my stuff is sz 8-12 but I do have some things for bigger ladies/oversize too!

A bit about me: I'm a bit of a fashion addict and I'm selling these lovely pieces to help fund my master's degree abroad - every purchase really helps! Unless otherwise mentioned, everything is vintage/second-hand so may show minor signs of wear as you'd expect, but won't have any serious flaws unless I specifically mention it in the description :) They're also currently in storage so might arrive needing an iron, but they're always clean!
