This Buy-it-Now is for an antique oak cased striking mantel or bracket clock that has a gallery top, which I would think was made sometime during the late Victorian, possibly early Edwardian period. It is a pendulum clock and comes complete with its key - it is fully working and striking as it should - I do not know when it was last serviced, but the movement is nice and clean and in good order. As it is a pendulum clock, I will send with it full instructions for setting it up, and regulating it if necessary. There is no makers name on the brass movement, which has a countwheel strike mechanism, striking on a wire gong - it strikes the hours in full, and the half hours with a single strike. It has a silvered dial - as can be seen from the pictures there is some age related tarnishing to this - it has good original hands. The oak case is very nice and has been well looked after over the years - it has a lovely patina - in general, this is a very original clock in good working order. It measures approximately 32cm high x 26cm wide x 19cm deep.
Sorry, the mug shown in the pictures is for size comparison only, and is not included in the sale.
