This is an original vintage America West Airlines FlightFUND frequent flyer membership card, issued during the airline’s early growth years and featuring classic America West branding. FlightFUND was America West’s loyalty program prior to its merger into US Airways, making this card a tangible artifact from a now-defunct airline with a dedicated collector following.
This card comes from my father’s estate. He traveled extensively for business—domestically and internationally—for more than 50 years, and this card was retained among his professional travel materials. Named airline loyalty cards like this were typically issued to frequent business travelers and were not mass-produced for the general public, adding to their appeal for aviation history collectors.
