Hardware Requirements
To operate, the transceiver must be connected to the server computer. Transceivers with USB interfaces only need the supplied USB cable. Network-enabled models (like the IC-9700 or IC-705) require an Ethernet or WLAN connection. Others require a soundcard/CAT interface for audio and CAT data transfer with galvanic isolation—such as the SB-2000, USB-2, USB-3, Digikeyer, or microKeyer. Older models can also work, but with limited functionality (e.g., frequency and mode control only).
