Schilke complete 6-component modification set for 3 valves (18 pieces), comprising 6 optional components for each valve, allowing for experimentation of different combinations and fine adjustment of performance output.  With up to 6 optional components available for each valve, when multiplied across three valves, the mathematical possibilities are considerable. All are in good condition, with little sign of use or wear.

XL HEAVYVALVE BOTTOM CAPS (x3)  From the Schilke website: “With an additional weight added to the inside of a standard valve cap, the Heavy Bottom Caps offer greater stability to the “center” of the note. It can also add depth to the tone. The XL Bottom Caps are double the weight and length of the Heavy Bottom Caps.” Note that these are the XL bottom caps, each weighing 28g, double the 14g of the heavy bottom caps. (These retail at £78 each, or £198 for three at Thomann)

BRASS VALVE BOTTOM DISC WEIGHTS (x3)   Brass discs which fit into the base of the XL bottom caps, intended to be used in conjunction with the valve bottom rubber spacer rings to dampen the acoustic bridge between the bottom cap and the valve casing.

RUBBER VALVE BOTTOM SPACER RINGS (x3)  See immediately above. These are fitted by being slid over the screw thread at the bottom of the valve casing.

BRASS VALVE GUIDES (x3)  From the Schilke website: “Schilke Metal Valve Guides are designed to fit any Schilke trumpet, cornet or flugelhorn we currently make. Made from solid brass, metal valve guides will subtly change both the feel and tone of the instrument.”.  These are of brass, weighing1.3g each, whereas Schilke trumpets are manufactured with neoprene valve guides.

LIGHTWEIGHT VALVE STEMS (x3)  Lightweight valve stems, apparently of cast aluminium, are intended to provide a further acoustic refinement option, and can be used with r without the lightweight finger buttons.

LIGHTWEIGHT FINGER BUTTONS (x3)  See immediately above. These appear to be sliver-plated aluminium.

The last two photographs show the set fitted to a Schilke E3 trumpet in E-flat / D, for illustration only.  The trumpet is not included.  The set also fits a Schilke C trumpet, and a Schilke P5-4 piccolo trumpet. You may wish to verify for yourself that valve casing threads are common to all Schilke trumpets.
