Genuine WARBURTON two-piece mouthpiece.

8S upper part (cup)

10* backbore (shank)

This is a silver-plated brass mouthpiece in very good condition, with very little sign of use or wear. It is particularly suited to a soprano cornet, or to a piccolo trumpet (especially the iconic Schilke P5-4). Please note that this is not a trumpet mouthpiece but can be used on a trumpet with a cornet-trumpet mouthpiece adapter.

The connecting thread is well-maintained and has never had to be unjammed.

Seller will pay postage.

Performance note: Typical of Warburton, the sound is clear and consistent from top to bottom, without the intonation difficulties that can be found with lesser mouthpieces.  The rim is particularly comfortable.

Player’s comment: This mouthpiece is comparable to the Schilke 5A4a, a popular piccolo or soprano mouthpieces, but the Warburton is just a little more free-blowing without compromising endurance or intonation, and has a slightly more comfortable rim and a more generous sound.
