A good Georgian-style silver-plated teapot by the respected silvermakers Hammond, Creake & Co of Sheffield. They were making high quality items in the later part of the 19th century.
This teapot has a ribbed body and lid with a corresponding black finial. It is in nice condition but it has a crack in the silver-plate on the side of the spout - see last 2 photos. It also has a few small blemishes on the exterior. The black handle is a bit grubby.
The base shows Hammond & Creake's mark and the crown and S for Sheffield.
Please see the photos as they are an important part of the listing.
