I purchased this set in the early-1970s and used it for several years on special occasions. (At the same time, I also purchased a set of seven handy serving pieces as well as a soup tureen with lid and ladle and four bowls. These are shown in two separate listings.) The Wilton Plough Tavern look fit well with my decor at the time. But after packing it some years later (and many years ago) for the first of several moves, and after a change in decor, I left it packed until now.

As explained in Photo 9, "Armetale® Metal is a fusion in precise proportions of ten different metals [creating a pewter look], but it is more than that. It is the warmth, feeling and skill that generations of foundrymen bring to you." (Note that the pages shown in Photos 9 and 10 are not included in the set.)

Overall, the set in this listing appears to be in good condition for used vintage Armetale dining pieces. The dinner and salad plates show utensil scratches, which reflects their use (as shown in the Photos). One of the dinner plates appears to have a production flaw at the rim (see Photos 2 and 3). Please look carefully at all the Photos to be sure that the condition of all the pieces in this set are acceptable to you.

Note that Photo 10 shows Wilton recommended Care and Cleaning Instructions, including the use of Brasso to remove staining. (I have not done this or otherwise polished this set to avoid the possibility of hiding defects only temporarily.)

There are three shipping alternatives. Please select the one that will work best for you (or let me know if you would prefer another).
