Note: Even though item is brand new, it was purchased off a retail shelf and has signs of oxidization on the top of it (small rust spots). This is become high carbon steel is still steel and susceptible to rust, but keeps a sharp edge. Stainless is not as susceptible to rust but doesn't maintain it's edge as well.
