What is Bidirectional Control / Active test?

Bi-Directional Control capability means it can perform Active Tests to access vehicle-specific subsystems and component tests. The tester outputs the command to the E~U to drive the actuators to determine the integrity of the system or parts by reading the E~U data, or by monitoring the operation of the actuators. It is necessary when you want to activate and control an onboard system remotely.
