A highly decorative pair of Japanese Satsuma-style ceramic table lamps.
Each lamp is beautifully hand-finished with intricate gilt detailing and raised enamel (moriage) decoration, featuring traditional multi-panel designs with birds and floral motifs.
The intricacy of the raised enamel detailing across both lamps shows the time and effort that went into to creating these pieces.
The lamps form a matching pair, with slight variations in the hand-applied decoration—typical of individually finished pieces and adding to their character and charm.
Although they are a ‘pair’ the small differences between them both, create a unique and individual feel to the pieces.
Both are mounted on turned wooden plinth bases with classic brass fittings, giving them a timeless oriental aesthetic ideal for traditional or eclectic interiors.
