This is a genuine Recaro passenger seat with a seat rail from a later model RX-8 Type RS.
With the same level of craftsmanship and design as the top-of-the-line Recaro seats, this is a special product jointly developed by Mazda and Recaro exclusively for the RX-8.
The Recaro seats in the final limited edition Spirit R have red leather, but the Recaro seats in the RS have black leather, so they match very well when used interchangeably.
Since Recaro seats are a symbol of the RS grade, owners are reluctant to part with them, and clean examples rarely appear at auctions, making them quite rare.
As it has been used, there are some minor scuffs on the left side and some stains on the seat, but there are no tears and it is in relatively good condition.
Otherwise, it's in generally good condition and there are no problems with its functionality.
