Rare Vintage Leonidas Military Style Wristwatch
Up for sale is a beautiful and authentic piece of horological history — a Leonidas wristwatch from the 1940s. Leonidas is a renowned Swiss brand, later merging with Heuer to become the legendary Heuer-Leonidas (now TAG Heuer).
Key Features:
Movement: Original Swiss Made Caliber AS 1130, famously known as the "Wehrmachtswerk" (Army Movement) for its exceptional reliability and durability. The bridge is clearly signed "Leonidas 1130".
Service History: Recently serviced by a professional watchmaker. The movement is clean, running strong, and keeping good time.
Dial: Original black military-style dial with a sub-second sub-dial at 6 o'clock. It features an honest, attractive patina that tells the story of its age.
Case: Original chrome-plated case with a stainless steel snap-on back. The back is marked "Fond Acier Inoxydable" and bears the serial number 279612.
Condition: The watch is in "honest" vintage condition. Please see the high-resolution photos for the exact state of the case, crystal, and dial. No hidden defects.
Dimensions:
Case diameter (excl. crown): 36 mm
Lug-to-lug: 44 mm
Lug width: 18 mm
This is a perfect addition for any collector of military-style watches or fans of the Leonidas/Heuer heritage. Ready to be worn and enjoyed!

Matching Numbers & Condition:
Serial Number: 279612 (stamped on both sides of the case back, confirming 100% original matching parts).
Movement Condition: Very clean, no signs of rust or amateur repairs. All screws are in great shape.

COLLECTOR’S CONDITION & MECHANICAL PERFORMANCE:
This timepiece is part of a long-term private collection. It was previously professionally serviced by a master watchmaker, but has remained in storage for a significant period without regular use.
Pre-shipment Check: Before packing, I personally verify that the movement starts easily, runs steadily, and that the time-setting functions work correctly.
Accuracy Disclaimer (Please Read):
As with all vintage mechanical watches kept in long-term storage, the original lubricants may have aged or thickened over time. Therefore, I do not guarantee modern chronometer-level accuracy.
The watch is sold in "Running" condition, but it may run slightly fast or slow (within or slightly outside vintage tolerances). Precision can also be affected by the vibrations and temperature changes during international transit. A routine professional adjustment or "oil refresh" by your local watchmaker may be required to achieve your desired timekeeping standards.
Sold "As-Is" regarding daily precision. By purchasing, you acknowledge that vintage mechanical movements are sensitive instruments that may require fine-tuning upon arrival.

Authentic vintage. Serviced in the past, long-term storage. Runs and sets correctly. Accuracy not guaranteed due to age and storage; may need minor regulation.
