**fall/winter shipments: buyer beware of weather when ordering, freezing temperatures during shipping will effect hatch rates** 6 plus extra Serama hatching eggs, Roos and Hens pictured above. These eggs are collected and stored pointy side down until they are shipped. I will include directions on how we have found the best success with hatching, but of course this will vary by climate, we are in eastern NC. Size comparison between our Barred Rock Egg and Serama above. 
Buyer Beware: please message me if any eggs are broken, we are happy to replace for cost of shipping but we cannot guarantee hatch rates! Our hatch rates are about 80%+, however, we cannot control how your eggs are handled in the mail, just package them as best as we are able! 
About us: Little River’s Backyard was started in early 2024 after graduating with a doctorate and looking for a new hobby to do with our toddler. Providing tons of outside time, learning for both of us and fun, keeping chickens was where we landed. We started with 10 and now have over 50 (and turkeys!). We have added breeding most recently with good success! We offer eggs from our “Lady Layers” aka standard breeds to our community at a “pay as you are able” rate and love seeing our customers enjoy wholesome eggs from well loved chickens!
