What is the size of the REKVEN underlay, is one enough, and how long does it last?
It is 10 x 15 feet, perfect for most small to medium ponds, but always check your liner size. For larger ponds, you can overlap multiple pieces or fold/double the underlay for extra thickness. When installed correctly, it can last 20 to 30 years.
Is it suitable for waterfalls, fountains, streams, bubbling rocks, salt and fresh water ponds, and other waterscapes?

Is a pond liner underlay really necessary, and do I need to do anything before laying the fabric?
Without an underlay, your liner can be easily punctured. Before laying the fabric, it is important to clear the pond area of rocks, sharp debris, and roots. A debris-free, clean, level surface will maximize performance and the fabric’s lifespan.
Is it thick/durable and permeable, and UV resistant?
The fabric is thick and durable with a high-density 4.5 oz/yd² weight. It is permeable by design to allow for drainage. While strong, long-term exposure to direct sunlight is not recommended as it may cause degradation.
What is the recommended overlap for multiple underlays, and will the underlay work with different liners?
We recommend overlapping each underlay section by 4 to 6 inches to prevent gaps and create a smooth base, securing overlaps with the included U-pins. The underlay will work with all major liners like EPDM, PVC, HDPE, LLDPE, and RPE.
