The magnet at the tip collects sludge from engine oil. This aluminum drain bolt is made from the highest quality aircraft aluminum 7075 which is further heat-treated to T6 making it the hardest aluminum alloy currently available under JIS standards. It boasts roughly twice the tensile strength of commercially available aluminum alloy bolts made from 5056 material and roughly twice the strength of carbon steel bolts. Furthermore the surface is anodized to provide a beautiful luster and prevent corrosion.
