Hydraulic System Warnings
Neglecting to
adhere to these precautions may lead
to significant personal injury, and in exceptional circumstances, may even result in fatality.
Please refrain from operating your Power Unit without hydraulic
fluid, as this may result in
damage to the unit.
Before attempting to lift a vehicle, it is
essential to inspect all hydraulic hose
fittings.
Avoid connecting
or disconnecting hydraulic
hoses when the equipment is loaded or when the hydraulic system is pressurized.
Maintain cleanliness in the Hydraulic
System and ensure that the Quick-Connect Fittings are clear of any dirt or obstructions.
Avoid direct contact with hydraulic fluid; always use gloves when working with hydraulic cylinders or hoses.
Before powering up the hydraulic system,
carefully check that all hydraulic
connections are
secure, including
fittings, hoses,
and auxiliary port plugs. Examine
the hydraulic hoses for any pinches or damage and replace them before use.
When working with hydraulic fluid, make sure to follow the safety guidelines provided by the manufacturer.
This Hydraulic Power Unit is not designed for continuous operation, as the motor is not rated for such use.
Additional Operating Information
Keep the following in mind when operating your :
• Use it only on a hard, flat surface. TG2-mini30 is portable; if you move it to a new location,
make sure
• Visuallyinspectthe Liftbefore each use. Do not use it
if you find any damage or severe
wear to the Lift components.
• Make sure the Anchor Bolts are securely
tightened before each use; if any Anchor Bolts are loose, do not use the Lift until all Anchor Bolts
are adjusted.
• Do not block, open, or override
self-closing Lift Controls; they are designed
to return to the “Off” or
Neutral position when released.
• Always remain
clear of the Lift when raising or lowering Vehicles.
• Do not
attempt to lift a Vehicle
in any way with less than all four Lift Arms.
• Do not remove or disable the Lift Arm Restraints.
• Do not rock the Vehicle
or remove heavy components while on the Lift; removal of Vehicle components may alter the weight distribution.
• Do not begin working
on the Vehicle until you have confirmed
that both Lift Heads are securely engaged on a Safety Lock position.
• Never move under a raised Vehicle without
first confirming that both Safety Locks are secured on a
locking position of the same height.
• Always remove tools, trays, and all other equipment before lowering the Lift.
• Never drive over the Lift Arms; make sure to rotate the Lift Arms to provide an unobstructed exit
before moving the Vehicle from the Lift area.
About Lifting Points, Lift Pad Adapters and Lift Pad Extensions
An important
note to keep in mind when using the TG2-mini30 is that the raised Vehicle must be
balanced on the
four Lift Arms. If the Vehicle is not balanced, it is more likely to become unstable and slide off
the Lift, possibly damaging the Lift, the Vehicle, and
anything under the Lift, including injuring people.
You mustuse all four Lift Arms when raising
a Vehicle. Never use just one, two, or
three Lift Arms to raise a Vehicle. The
Vehicle will be unstable and could slip off the
Lift, possibly damaging the Lift, damaging
the Vehicle, and injuring anyone under it.
To balance a Vehicle
on the TG2-mini30 Lift, you need to have the Lift Pad Adapters contact the
Vehicle
on the manufacturer’s recommended Lifting Points. By definition, when you raise a Vehicle
by its Lifting
Points,
turer’s recommended Lifting Points do not
take into
consideration any
major changes
that might have been made
to the Vehicle. If the motor is removed, for instance, or there is a 5,000 pound / 2,268 kg weight in the trunk, the Vehicle’s
Lifting Points will not be
the best balancing points.
Some Vehicles have indicators
on the underside that identify the Lifting Points; many do not.
The best approach is to find the Vehicle’s recommended lifting points in the Vehicle Lifting Points for
Frame Engaging Lifts guide, which
is provided with your Lift, or contact
the manufacturer of the
Vehicle. This
guide also includes safe lifting suggestions,
which everyone who uses the Lift should read.

Raising a Vehicle
|
To Raise a Vehicle:
1. Check
the items listed
2. Verify the
Lift is fully lowered to the ground
and the Lift Arms are rotated out of
the Vehicle’s path in
the full drive-through position.
3. Carefully drive the Vehicle in between the Lift Posts and then stop.
When driving a Vehicle into position, keep to the middle of the area between the
Posts. If you hit a Lift Arm or any other portion of the Lift, you could damage the Vehicle and/or the Lift.
4. Put the Vehicle
in park, put on the parking brake, and turn off the Vehicle.
If the Vehicle is a manual transmission, put it into first gear before turning off the motor.
5. Get out of the Vehicle;
open the doors carefully to avoid damaging
them on the Lift’s Post.
6. Position the Lift Arms until the Lift Pads are under the Vehicle and directlyunder the manufacturer’s recommended Lifting
Points for the Vehicle you are raising.
Do
not guess the best location for the Adapters. You must use the
manufacturer’s recommended Lifting Points. If you do not,
the Vehicle

Many specialty or modified Vehicles or
Vehicles with unusually short or long
wheelbases cannot be on raised on a Two-Post Frame Engaging Lift. Contact the Vehicle’s manufacturer for Raising or Jacking guidance.
Before attempting to lift a Vehicle verify:
• The Vehicle Frame is strong enough to support its weight and has not been weakened or
compromised by modification,
damage or corrosion.
• The Vehicle individual axle weight does not exceed one-half the Lift capacity.
• The Lift Adapters are in secure contact with the Frame at the Vehicle manufacturers’ recommended Lift Points.

WARNING Always use Safety Stands when removing or installing heavy components
that may
affect the Vehicle’s center of gravity.
8. Press
and hold the Up Button on the Power Unit to raise the Lift until justbefore the Adapters make contact with the Lifting Points,
then release the Up Button.
9. Check
the Arm Restraint Gears on allfour Lift Armsto make sure they are engaged and that
the Lift Pads will make solid contact with the Lifting
Points when raised further.
a. To disengage the Arm Restraint Gear and unlock the Lift Arm, use the Ring to lift up on the Shaft.
Refer to the figure on the next page.
b. To engage the Arm Restraint Gear and lock the Lift Arm, push down on the Shaft while
rocking the Lift Arm slightly. Refer to the figure on the next page.
10. Press the Up Button until the Tires of the Vehicle are a few inches off the ground.
If the Lift becomes unstable or the
Vehicle starts moving, release the Up Button immediately.
11. Verify all four of the Lift Pads
are making solid contact with the Lifting Points.
If
any of the Lift Pads are not making solid contact with the Lifting
Points, lower the Lift and adjust
the Lift Arms and Pads until they make better contact.
12. When the
Vehicle is just a
few inches off the
ground, rock the Vehicle to make sure it is stable and
balanced.
• If the Vehicle
is notstable and balanced, lower the Lift back to the ground and start over.
• If the Vehicle
isstable and balanced,
you can raise it to the desired height.
Do not raise the Lift further until you are certain
the Vehicle on the Lift is both stable
and balanced. If the Vehicle is notstable and balanced, it could fall, which could
damage the Vehicle, damage the Lift, or injure or kill anyone under the
Vehicle.
Always keep a line of sight on the Lift at all times. Ensure personnel and objects are
clear of the Lift at all
times.
Remain
Clear of the elevated Lift until visual confirmation is made that all Safety Locks are fully engaged and the Lift is lowered onto the Safety Locks.
13. Raise the Lift until
the Vehicle reaches the desired height, go up a bit further,
then release the Up Button.
14. Press
and hold the Lowering Handle briefly
to move the Lift back down, which engages it on the closest Safety Lock.
15. When the Lift stops moving down, it is
engaged on its Safety Locks; release the Lowering Handle.
Do not leave the
Lift controls unless
the Lift is engaged
on its Safety Locks or fully lowered.
If you miss the desired Safety Lock, press and hold the Up Button again and move just past the desired Safety Lock. You’ll hear a
click indicating
the Safety Lock has passed a
Safety Block.
Release the Up Button, then hold the Lowering
Handle again to lower the Lift onto the desired
Safety Lock.
Do notmove under the Vehicle until you have confirmed
that the Lift is engaged on
Safety Locks.
Always ensure both
Safety Locks are engaged. If the Lift Heads are engaged on Safety
Locks at two different heights or only one Safety Lock is engaged, the
Vehicle could become unbalanced and fall causing
damage, injury or death.
16. Recheck the Lift Arms and Pads to verify they are still making solid contact with the
Vehicle Lifting points.
17. Verify the Lift is engaged on the
same Safety Lock on both posts (all four
arms are at the same
height).

Moving the Lift
The TG2-mini30 is portable, which means you can move it around your work space, if you have installed additional anchors.
To move the Lift:
1. Make sure the Lift is fully lowered and the Lift Arms have been removed.
Do not connect
or disconnect the Hoses with the Lift in an elevated position.
2. Press and hold
the Lowering Handle for a few seconds to relieve any hydraulic pressure in the Hydraulic Hoses.

4. Put
a clean rag under the hydraulic connections near the bottom of the Hydraulic Cylinder, then
disconnect the Hydraulic Hose.
Make sure to clean
any Hydraulic Fluid from the Hydraulic Hoses.
5. Loosen then
remove the five Anchor Bolts from the Base Plate; Remove any shims and keep both
the Bolts and shims handy for future use.
Be careful not to disturb the Post until you are ready to move it to your storage area.
We recommend that you mark or otherwise note the Shim locations used at each
Anchor to help at the time of re-installation.

7. Using a downward force, push and tilt the Post onto its Wheels, and then carefully
move the Post to the desired location.

Before proceeding, verify location,
measurements, and that the Base Plates are aligned with the Chalk Lines (Figure
10). The concrete must be minimum of 4.25" (108 mm) thick with a minimum compressive
strength of 3000 psi (20 MPa). Follow
the procedure exactly for proper fitting and alignment of
Anchors. 1.
Use the Base Plate as a guide. Using a rotary hammer
drill with a 7/8" concrete bit, drill the concrete for each
anchor to a minimum depth of 5" . (See figure 11) Do not
ream the hole or allow the drill to wobble. Use caution to not move the Posts when drilling through the Posts. We
recommend having someone secure or stand on the Post. Repeat for all
holes on both Posts and then move the Posts out of the way. After drilling,
thoroughly clean hole using a vacuum cleaner or compressed
air and a nylon brush. NOTE: The drill will break
through the bottom when drilling 5" in a 4.25" concrete slab. This is an approved practice
with these Anchors. 2.
Set the Anchor Embedment Depth: Fully thread the
5/8" Setting Tool (p/n 5530405) with Nut (p/n 5535100) and Washer into the Anchor. Set the distance
between the top of the Anchor and the bottom of the
Washer to 5/8". (See figure 12) 3.
After setting the Nut and Washer, place the Anchor into
the hole and hammer downward on the Setting Tool until the Washer is flush
with the surface of the concrete. (See figure 13) 4.
To set the Anchor, tighten the Nut while holding the
Bolt head (to ensure the anchor does not spin in place). Do not use
an impact wrench for this step. Tighten to reach an
installation torque of 90 ft-lbs. (See figure 14) 5.
Once the Anchor is set, remove the Setting Tool and
clear the Anchor with compressed air to remove any concrete dust
from the threads. NOTE: Always wear safety
glasses. Follow drill manufacturer’s instructions. Use only solid carbide-tipped
drill bits meeting ANSI B212.15 diameter
standards. 1.
Install both Posts with Bolts and Washers to Anchors,
check plumb and
measurements as shown below.
2.
If shimming is required, insert the shims as necessary
under the base
plate so that when the provided 5/8 x 2"
Anchor Bolts are tightened, the
Posts will be plumb both side to side and front to rear. (See
figure 15)
3.
With the Shims and Anchor Bolts in place, tighten all 5/8
x 2" Anchor
Bolts
tight to the Base Plate. DO NOT USE AN IMPACT WRENCH or
the Anchors
could become
compromised.
Maintenance
Before performing
maintenance on your Lift, verify it is disconnected from power.
The Lift uses electrical
energy; if your
organization has Lockout/Tagout policies,
make sure to implement them before performing any maintenance. If you come into contact with high voltage/current, you could be injured or killed.
A complete pre-operation inspection
is required before using this equipment.
Read your manual and understand how this equipment
works before using, maintaining or repairing. Routine
maintenance and adjustments are the responsibility of the owner/user and are not covered under warranty.
Routine maintenance and adjustments should be carried out on a regular basis. Unless stated
otherwise, all maintenance maybe performed by the owner/employer and does not require trained
lift service personnel. Replace worn, damaged or broken parts with original approved parts or with parts that meet or exceed the original specifications.
Routine maintenance and adjustments are the responsibility of the owner/user and are not
covered under warranty.
To maintain your Lift:
• Daily: Keep the Lift clean. Wipe up any oil spills, clean any dirt.
• Daily: Make a visual inspection of all moving parts and check for damage or excessive wear. If you find any damaged or worn parts, take the Lift out of service until they are replaced.
• Daily: Make sure the Safety Locks are in good operating
condition. If you find that the Safety Locks are damaged or excessively worn, take the Lift out of service until they are replaced. Do not use your Liftifthe SafetyLocks are damaged or excessively worn.
• Daily: If the CE Safety Release Kit is installed, verify the Safety Locks engage and disengage
freely. If you find that the Safety Release mechanism is damaged or excessively worn, take the Lift
out of service until is repaired
or replaced.
• Daily: Verify the Cylinder Clamp is secured and in place at the top of the Lift Head.
• Weekly: Check all controls to make sure they are functioning normally.
• Weekly: Check all labels on the unit. Replace them if they are illegible or missing.
• Monthly: Lubricate the inside of the Posts where the Lift Head’s Slide Blocks move. We recommend using white lithium grease or similar.
• Monthly: Make sure all pivot arm pins are properly secured.
• Monthly: Check the Power Unit’s Hydraulic Fluid levels. Refill if low.
