Mythodea is Vangelis’ epic choral symphony, originally composed in 1993 and famously performed in 2001 in collaboration with NASA to celebrate the Mars Odyssey mission. This 2025 deluxe reissue from Music On Vinyl presents the work on 180 gram crystal clear vinyl, housed in a linen-laminated gatefold sleeve with a 4-page booklet of liner notes and photos. Featuring soprano legends Kathleen Battle and Jessye Norman, the piece blends orchestral grandeur with electronic textures and pseudo-lyrics, evoking humanity’s cosmic aspirations.
