A professional-grade BMX freewheel remover from Unior - a Slovenian tool manufacturer trusted by professional bicycle mechanics and workshops worldwide. This 4-pin tool is designed specifically for removing 4-notch BMX freewheels and single-speed hub freewheels with the standard 1.370" x 24 TPI thread. The 24mm wrench flats allow use with a standard spanner, adjustable wrench, or socket. Unior tools are built to professional workshop standards - a significant step up from the budget removers that round out and fail on stubborn freewheels.
Engage the 4 pins of the tool into the matching notches on the freewheel. Before applying any force, secure the tool in place by threading the axle nut or quick release skewer back through the axle - this prevents the tool from jumping out of the notches under the torque required to break the freewheel loose. Apply a 24mm spanner or adjustable wrench to the wrench flats and turn anti-clockwise (freewheels have a standard right-hand thread and unscrew anti-clockwise). Stubborn freewheels may require a breaker bar or length of pipe for additional leverage.

Note: If you are unsure how many notches your freewheel has, look at the inner face of the freewheel where it threads onto the hub - you will see either 2 or 4 recessed notches. This tool is for 4-notch freewheels only.
