Schwalbe Rocket Ron EVO Super Race TLE ADDIX Speed - 24x2.35" MTB Tyre

24" / 60-507 | Folding Bead | Tubeless Easy | 67 TPI | ADDIX Speed Compound | XC Race | 560g

The Schwalbe Rocket Ron in 24" is one of the rarest size options in this top-spec EVO Super Race build — a genuine XC race tyre designed for junior and youth competitive riders, as well as smaller-framed adult riders running 24" wheels. This is the full Evolution Line specification: Super Race casing with 67 TPI construction, ADDIX Speed compound, and Tubeless Easy (TLE) compatibility. The Rocket Ron's tread pattern delivers an exceptional balance of low rolling resistance and cornering grip, with enough gap between knobs for effective self-cleaning in mixed conditions. At 560g with a folding Kevlar bead, it's genuinely lightweight for a tyre of this size and capability. The 24" Super Race variant is a hard item to find new — discontinued from most retailers worldwide.

Understanding the Spec Levels

Schwalbe's Rocket Ron is available across multiple construction tiers. The EVO Super Race (this tyre) is the top of the range - lightest casing, highest TPI count, and paired exclusively with the race-focused ADDIX Speed compound. The Super Ground version offers slightly more durability at a small weight penalty. The Performance Line sits below both with a heavier wire bead and more durable but slower compound. If you're equipping a junior racer or a lightweight XC build on 24" wheels, the Super Race is the only spec worth considering.

ADDIX Speed Compound

ADDIX Speed is Schwalbe's fastest XC compound - developed specifically for cross-country racing where rolling resistance is the primary concern. It delivers excellent traction on firm to mixed surfaces and is notably more durable than softer race compounds. The trade-off is reduced grip on very wet hardpack or loose-over-hard conditions, where a Speedgrip compound would be a better choice. For dry to mixed XC and marathon racing, ADDIX Speed is the correct call.

Tubeless Setup Notes

TLE (Tubeless Easy) means the tyre is designed to be mounted tubeless but requires tubeless-compatible rims, tubeless rim tape, a tubeless valve, and sealant fluid - none of which are included. It can also be run with a standard inner tube if preferred. Running tubeless allows lower pressures for better traction and comfort, eliminates pinch-flat risk, and the sealant self-seals small punctures on the trail.

⚠️ Important: Always confirm your wheel's ETRTO rim diameter before purchasing. The number on your tyre sidewall after the "x" dimension (e.g. 60-507) is the key measurement - it must match your rim's bead seat diameter.

Condition

New Old Stock - Unused: The tyre itself is completely unused and in perfect condition. The retail box has sustained damage from shop display and storage. This is a cosmetic issue with the box only; the tyre inside is unaffected. Sold as-is at a reduced price to reflect the packaging condition.
