Afreaka! is the extraordinary 1970 debut album by Demon Fuzz, an Afro‑rock collective whose members emigrated to Britain from across the Commonwealth. Their singular fusion of psychedelic soul, dub‑heavy funk, progressive rock, Afro‑jazz, and black acid rock has made the album one of the most sought‑after recordings of the early‑70s underground.
Celebrated for its deep grooves, spiritual jazz overtones, and exploratory musicianship, Afreaka! became a Billboard 4‑Star selection in 1971 and has since become heavily sampled, bootlegged, and revered by DJs, collectors, and rare‑groove enthusiasts.
This Music On Vinyl deluxe reissue is pressed on 180g purple translucent vinyl, housed in a linen‑laminate deluxe sleeve, and limited to 2000 individually numbered copies.
