This ambitious reinterpretation of the futuristic design of the 1958 Explorer is aimed at today's young and entry-level players. Epiphone's new style of modified guitar, the Explorer GT, is now in stock. The concept behind this model was to make the coveted shape more accessible. The original Explorer's large size and weight made it a hurdle for beginners and smaller players. However, by shrinking the body to approximately 85% of its original size, this problem has been fundamentally solved. This innovative design approach shatters the stereotype that modified guitars are difficult to play. This is a masterpiece entry-level model created to create future guitar heroes.

There are scratches and sticker marks throughout. The truss rod works well, with ample room for adjustment in both forward and backward bow directions.

The neck curvature has been adjusted with the truss rod and is nearly straight. The frets are still high enough to provide no significant interference with playability.
