We tested this in our PS3 and everything worked fine for us. However, we did not play the entire game. The disc has light wear/scratching which did not affect gameplay when we tested it, and the case has wear. We do clean all of our games (discs lightly) to remove dirt and fingerprints. We also clean the cases and remove as much dirt, labels and residue as we can. Please see pics.
