Here for sale is a beautiful antique Swiss pocket watch dating to approximately 1900–1915.
The watch is housed in a solid 0.935 silver case and fitted with a quality Chasserel 15 jewel lever movement, a well-regarded Swiss movement maker of the period.
The white enamel dial with Roman numerals is classic in design and features a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. There is a small chip to the enamel around the 3–4 o’clock area, as shown clearly in the photographs, but overall the dial still presents very nicely for its age.
The watch winds smoothly and is currently running well, with a strong balance motion.
The case interior is stamped 0.935 silver and the movement is clearly signed Chasserel.
Condition summary:
• Solid 0.935 silver case
• Chasserel 15 jewel Swiss lever movement
• White enamel Roman numeral dial
• Small enamel chip near 3–4 o’clock (see photos)
• Running and keeping time
• Good overall antique condition
Occasionally stops when the case back is opened but runs well once closed. As with all vintage pocket watches I sell, it is unserviced and may benefit from a routine service.”
A lovely late Victorian / early Edwardian pocket watch and a great addition for collectors or anyone looking for an elegant antique timepiece.
Please study the photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.
