Similar to the wild type isopods only this cultivar has been line bred for enhanced yellow coloration. A great choice for bioactive cleanup crews as the species is more dry tolerant than other isopods in the hobby. This species also has lower protein requirements than the popular P. lavis meaning they won't bite or bother your pets instead choosing to feed on decaying plant material. Fast reproduction times in a voracious appetite for vivarium waste makes it a staple in reptile husbandry.
