All of our knife scales are designed and hand made in our shop here in the United States. We make custom knife scales for the custom knives that we design and make. The picture shown shows the exact scale that you will receive. This one is made using rattlesnake snake. The sides have been book matched. For stability and strength the backing is a G10 layer. This rattlesnake skin has been sandwiched between G10 and clear resin. You can sand and shape from the back and/or top of each scale.
You can reduce the thickness by sanding either the back or top side of the scales without damaging the pattern. Each scale is approximately +/-1/4" x 1 3/4" x 5". This scale is a pair of scales. You will get a scale for each half of your knife handle.You can sand and shape from the back and/or top of each scale. You can reduce the thickness by up to 1/8" without damaging the pattern. Ready for shaping and polishing or it can be sanded down for thickness if desired (to a minimum of 1/8" thickness.) These scales have a matte finish. They can be polished to a high gloss finish. Easy to work with normal tools.
