Synopsis #202:
"Star Fall"
An accident occurs while Batman is performing extra-vehicular maintenance on the JLA satellite. Hawkman summons the other members to effect repairs and discovers that Batman has been rescued by a gigantic alien automated medical ship. The ship’s computer-sensors mistake Batman for an explorer-member of the extraterrestrial race that created it. It heals his injuries but transforms him into a mentally deranged double of the alien explorer, Ursak. The now-bestial Batman battles his comrades until Hawkman intervenes and has the medical ship return him to normal. During the investigation, Hawkman realizes that the alien ship has been awaiting Ursak’s return for some 200,000 years in the wrong location due to a flaw in its navigation computer.

Synopsis #208:
“Crisis on Earth-Prime! Book Three: The Bomb-Blast Heard 'Round the World!”
On Earth-Two in January 1942, the Justice Society of America (JSA) encounters five unknown interlopers in their borrowed headquarters. These interlopers turn out to be the Justice League from a future decade of a parallel world (Earth-1). After a brief scuffle, they all receive a mysterious request for help from President Roosevelt. A piece of electronic equipment has been delivered to the White House, and it contains instructions to use a 1982-tech projection-screen TV to receive a special broadcast message. The sender of the message is Per Degaton, who claims to be addressing world leaders simultaneously. He possesses nuke-tipped ICBMs and has ominous demonstrations scheduled for the next day. Meanwhile, on Earth-Prime in October 1982, the Justice Society faces mutated humanoids in the ruins of New York City.
