The "Footprint of the Mother of God" pendant.
The first appearance of this relic was recorded in the 13th century. The Mother of God heard the monks' prayers, appearing in a pillar of fire. Afterward, the imprint of her foot remained on the stone where the Most Pure Virgin stood.
The imprint has survived to this day and is kept in the Dormition Cathedral of the Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra. The imprint is always filled with water, miraculously exuded from the stone. The water in the foot never runs dry, despite the numerous pilgrims who constantly fill their vessels with it for healing.
The Mother of God is always with us and will never abandon us. Protect and have mercy on us. Grant us strength.
On the reverse side is the prayer: "To You, O Mother of God, we sinners prayerfully flow, remembering Your miracles, revealed in the Holy Lavra of Pochaev, and grieving over our own sins."
