The 1990 Tooheys 1000 saw the Holden Racing Team’s Holden VL Commodore SS Group A SV, driven by Allan Grice and Win Percy, take a hugely popular victory at Mount Panorama in a race that pitted the rugged V8 against a host of turbocharged challengers. After 161 laps of the 1000 km event, the naturally aspirated VL Commodore capitalised on the attrition of faster Ford Sierra RS500s and the Nissan GT-R to cross the line ahead, giving HRT its first of seven eventual Bathurst 1000 win and etching the car and pairing into Australian motorsport folklore as one of the era’s defining underdog stories.

PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING.

Biante’s 1990 Bathurst winner release is well known for inconsistent factory manufacturing quality. In the interest of full transparency, the following factory-related and mis-handling characteristics are noted:

• Left side window panel not flush with chassis. An attempt to glue it back flush resulted in frosting of windows.

• Aerial missing.

• Small black mark and paint chip on front left corner of roof.

• Display box and case marked and weathered.
