Small trinket box made out of what appears to be black lacquered paper mache (so probably vintage) Russian-made, with a gold geometric design on top, has a hinge and a real clasp to stay closed. About 3 inches across and 1 inch high. Sized for holding safety pins or paper clips, etc.
In good condition, gold design is a little worn -- see pictures.
