This refined Diablo model combines an ebony barrel with a cap, section and bling cap made of Damascus steel. A sophisticated combination, undeniably. 

Damascus steel has a very special pattern, almost like that of a wood grain. This motif only appears in the final stages of production, specifically the etching process whereby the softer material is etched away with e. g. arsenic. 

Each cap and section of this Diablo therefore differs from the others. 

All the fittings, clip and rings, are finished with a platinum finish. 

The LE number of the pen is shown on the top cap edge, the same number can also be found in the matching papers (included). The fountain pen is limited to 1.000 copies and this here is number 0048 (VIP allocation). 

The pen is equipped with a cartridge/converter filling. 

It comes together with its specific LE red Cartier box (CO544b)and matching papers/literature. No white outer box. It has never been used nor inked.

IMO this is the most refined iteration of the iconic Diabolo de Cartier pen. Sought after and rarely seen on the secondary market.
