This is a Tibetan mala made from bird bones.
In eastern Tibet, hawk bones, which are closely related to sky burials, are sometimes used to make prayer beads, but these appear to have been made from the leg bones of medium-sized birds. These beautiful bone beads have been infused with oil and have turned into smooth, cream-colored beads.

Although it is not an old item, it would be perfect for making prayer beads. How about adding it to your collection?
