Extra large huge size very heavy Antique large surgical retractor or speculum-type medical instrument dating to approximately 1900.
Constructed of heavy stainless steel with broad curved blades designed to hold tissue open during surgical procedures. Instruments of this style were commonly used in early abdominal or gynecological surgery.
