For sale is this very nice Oris BC3 Sportsman Watch from, I believe, around 2010 (based on the 735 calibre number). It's been fully serviced, which included the fitting of a brand new mainspring, has been wet pressure tested to 10ATM and comes with a one year warranty that covers the proper mechanical functioning of the watch.

As you'll see from the photo's, the 42mm stainless steel case houses a matt black dial in excellent condition, along with clear, white Arabic numerals and an outer seconds ring. Given the design of the watch is very much about clarity of dial and ruggedness of design, this very much delivers. The 'Day' and 'Date' windows sit in the lower half of the dial. Again, the style is consistent with white lettering / numerals on a black background. Both rings are in excellent condition. The stylised sword hands continue the black / white theme.

The 42mm multi-piece stainless steel case (46mm incl. crown) has a polished steel bezel that holds the flat sapphire crystal and gasket. The case body has brushed sides and lugs before reverting to a polished case-back. Lug to lug length is 51.5mm and case thickness is 11.25mm. It's a statement watch on the wrist. On the right hand side of the case is the screw down 'big crown', marked 'Oris'. The case is in very good condition, but it does show some minor signs of wear - the most noticeable mark (if you catch the light) is at '2' on the bezel. Please do check the photos and ask if you want any more detail. Bear in mind these are very much close-up photos - on the wrist it's a very fine looking watch!

The watch comes with a leather 'Oris' strap, complete with 'Oris' branded buckle, which is still in good condition - although it does show signs of being worn.

The case has a display back through which you can see the Oris 735 movement (a modified Sellita SW220-1). This movement is an automatic wind, 26 jewel model, running at 28,800 beats per hour - giving a very smooth sweep second hand. After a full service, including fitting a new mainspring, it's running on the timegrapher between -5 to +5 seconds per day across all positions, with an amplitude of 265-300 degrees and beat error of 0.0-0.2 It's an excellent timekeeper. Note that the watch also has a 'hack' or 'stop-seconds' feature. When you unscrew the crown and pull it out to the second position, it stops the balance, allowing you to set the watch to the second. As an aside, pulling the watch out to the first stop allows you to quick set the date and day. Simply unscrewing the crown allows you to wind the watch, should it be necessary after a period of being unworn.

The case is marked as water resistant to 10ATM (100m). I have wet tested the watch to this pressure and it has passed. That said, I would always encourage you to keep watches away from water.
