This instrument is mainly used to test the pressure leakage current of electrolytic capacitors. It can also be used in various electrical appliances, insulation resistors, diodes, triodes, voltage regulators, and other high voltage components that are difficult to test with a multimeter. Instructions
(1) Electrolytic capacitor withstand voltage measurement: press the power switch "ON" button of the instrument, and select the voltage range switch according to the nominal voltage on the capacitor. (For example, 100uf/25V capacitor, select 3-200V gear, adjust the voltage to About 1.5 times the nominal voltage of 40V), press the current switch key "0-200mA", the measured capacitance is inserted into the jack, the positive pole is opposite to the positive pole, raise the "IV" switch key, and then press the "Measure" button. After the voltage is stable, the reading on the voltmeter is the electricity.

(2) Measurement of capacitance leakage current: According to the capacity of the capacitor, select the current range button. The larger the capacitance, the larger the current file selection. Select the voltage button appropriately (such as 470uf/50V capacitor) and select "3-200V". The voltage is adjusted to 50V, the current gear selects the "0-20mA" button, the "IV" button is pressed, and then the "Measure" button is pressed. How much leakage current does a good capacitor have? For reference only: paper capacitors, mica capacitors, polyester capacitors, polyester capacitors, etc., generally show no leakage current, electrolytic capacitors below 50uf, should show less than 25uA leakage current, 50-500uf shows less than 50uA leakage current, 500-1000uf less than 100uA leakage current (test can be up to 4000uf)
(3) Measurement of the voltage regulator tube: select the voltage range button, from the low gear to the current gear select 0-2mA, the "IV" button is lifted, the voltage regulator tube is inserted into the jack, the positive pole of the tube is negative, the negative pole is aligned, and then Press the "Measure" button to adjust the voltage and observe the ammeter. It should be displayed at about 1 mA. The reading on the voltmeter is the regulation value of the tube.
(4) Transistor and diode withstand voltage measurement: Select the voltage range button, from high to low, the current button selects 0-2mA, the "IV" button is lifted, the tube to be tested is inserted into the jack, the diode positive pole is negative, and the negative pole is opposite. Positive, the collector of the NPN transistor is aligned and the emitter is negative. Press the "Measure" button to adjust the voltage. If there is a value on the ammeter, the reading on the voltmeter is the withstand voltage of the tube.
According to the technical parameters of the electrolytic capacitor, the leakage current uA of the capacitor should not be greater than Ib=KCU at +20 °C ±5 °C. Ib is the leakage current uA, C is the nominal capacitance uF, U is the rated DC operating voltage, K is 0.03 when the coefficient is +20 °C ±5 °C, and the general capacitance is not more than 5 times of the calculated value.
The leakage current of the aluminum electrolytic capacitor should not exceed 3 times of the calculation formula (Ib=KCU) at normal temperature.
