Condition

The manufacturer's sticker is still attached to the case back. There is some corrosion on the dial edge and calendar frame. As this is a vintage watch, there are other signs of aging and wear, but the case and band are not very polished and are in good condition for a vintage watch.

The Oyster Perpetual Date is a direct descendant of the original Oyster, the world's first waterproof wristwatch, released in 1926, and features the addition of a date display to the automatic Oyster Perpetual. This "Ref. 69174" is a model produced between 1987 and 1998, before it was sold as the 26mm Datejust. Because it was not yet certified as a C.O.S.C. chronometer, the dial read "DATE" rather than "DATEJUST." It features a silver dial with bar indexes, all tritium luminous, and has been overhauled in our shop.
