Condition

The strap has some creases and missing steps. The hands and indexes have some corrosion. The dial has some aging. As this is a vintage watch, there is some aging and scratches from use overall, but it is in good condition for a vintage watch.

The Oyster Perpetual Date is a direct descendant of the original Oyster, the world's first waterproof wristwatch, released in 1926. The automatic Oyster Perpetual adds a date display. This Ref. 1500 timepiece was manufactured between the 1960s and 1980s. It features a lustrous gilt dial (mirror dial) that has aged to reveal a camouflage pattern. The matching dauphine hands create a truly elegant timepiece. The Oyster rivet bracelet is endpiece No. 57, manufactured in the fourth period of 1964. The crystal is a third-party dome crystal without a Cyclops lens. It has been overhauled in our shop.
