Product Introduction Plans for a small submarine with a structure more like a manned weapon than a warship have been underway since 1932. The Kaiten Type A was originally developed with a crew of two and two torpedoes to launch from a submarine mother ship carrying out hit-and-run surprise attacks during fleet battles. The Kaiten Type A which went into mass production was deployed in operations from the attack on Pearl Harbor. [Product Contents] Markings are included for the attack on Pearl Harbor as well as three types of Kaiten Type A for Kiska Island and Kure Ourazaki Base. A torpedo is included for display purposes.
