Rectangular handwoven split bamboo basket with hinged lid, dual loop handles bound in rattan or reed, and interior bamboo reinforcement slats. Metal wire and pegged joinery evident throughout, with original metal hinges and latches. • Warm brown patina from natural oxidation and aging of bamboo; traces of hand-applied finish.Ev idence of original utilitarian rope ties and repair knots, consistent with early 20th-century craftsmanship. • Measures approximately 26–28" L × 14" W × 13" H.
