There is a very small amout of corrosion shown in the battery compartment but it doesn't affect gameplay at all.
You will need 4x C batterues to play the game, or source a plug power supply.
The video shows the game working. Due to the type of screen within the micro computer it appears to flash on the video but this isn't the care in person. The computers screen is bright and steady.
