Description:  The Wizard silk was made by the Brocklehurst Whiston Company in Macclesfield, England in 1967. The Wizard is a famous Village Inn in Nether Alderley, Cheshire. The pub's s sign over the door depicts a man who looks like a monk together with a white prancing horse. Another design - The Hanging Gate - also a Cheshire Inn was made in 1966 and forms a pair with the Wizard.

The silk was woven on a jacquard loom in the same manner as a Stevengraph was made 70 years earlier.

Size: The weaving is 7 x 4.5 inches. The folder that protects the weaving is 10 x 8 inches.

Condition: The silk is in very good condition with minimal colour fading. The protective cover is generally good but a few light age marks noted.
