A fine and interesting silver plate cruet set designed around an equestrian or hunting theme. The whole has a great design with every part being made as something relating to horse riding. The stand is horseshoe shaped with a spur for the handle. The mustard and pepper pots are modelled as boots. The salt cellar is a riding cap and the salt and mustard spoons are designed as whips. The silverplate is in very good condition with some gilt work. The interior of the mustard pot has some corrosion but is still usable. The whole is a charming, fun and interesting novelty piece. c.1920. Overall sizes in inches: 4 ¼ wide 6 deep 3 ½ high
