This is Thuya (Thuja) Maserholz. The Thuja Maser rootwood bulb belongs to the softwood trees and is unfortunately only available in very small dimensions. Since you only get small surfaces of the small masquerani roots on cutting timber or veneers, it is often used for very high-quality furniture, turning and inlay work. For example: humidore, case, etc. The very intense red -brown wood is given a particularly decorative and lively appearance due to the irregularly arranged small masqueria, wild growth and flaming (resulting from change of change). The wood often has very fine hairline cracks/intolerations, is very hard, should be processed with care and also exudes a particularly aromatic smell.
Please make sure that with Maser and Rootwoods, small open areas/inclusions/intersections and small fine hairline cracks or branches such as sandy growth can occur, which we mention or illustrate as much as possible.

Only roughly cut wood, somewhat prepare and 2 surfaces are polished, surfaces are usually very smooth, but can still have some rough areas, wood is only air -dried, produced in summer 2024. These masy tubers can always have fine defects, inclusions/intersections or branches, or fine cracks or intolerations inside the wood that are not always visible beforehand. Please consider this before buying!

The lengths + widths can have a small deviation of approx. Have 0.5cm that can vary +/- 1-2mm. We have to mention that this wood comes from North Africa, where the craftsmen and suppliers do not have the best and most accurate machines to produce this type of root wood. Therefore, the dimensions can vary a little and deviate/rejuvenate something at the ends or corners (see photo)! You get a piece or a similar piece as shown in the photos with a very nice grain.
