This offering is for a type 2 Gage OVB (Our Very Best) corrugated smoothing plane that has been broken or cracked about 4 inches from the nose and then welded both sides and ground down for the repair. The plane was produced by Stanley. The plane was used well after the repair, so it did work for the previous owner. There is 1 patent number 2-17-20, which reveals the first dating of Stanleys Gage type 2 corrugated smoothing plane. The finish is about 60% present, it is a Gage Self Setting plane, marked on the adjusting cap. 14 Inches in length and 2 1/2 inches wide. I will do my best to answer any questions.
