• 2nd Appearance Power Girl
Synopsis:
In this issue, the Justice Society of America battles global disasters triggered by the telepathic villain Brainwave, who schemes to rebuild his physical form with the aid of time-traveling criminal Per Degaton. While the JSA is scattered across the globe quelling catastrophes—some revealed to be illusions—young heroes of the Super Squad, including Power Girl, Robin, and the Star-Spangled Kid, step up to face the crises and confront the villain’s agents. Amid intense battles from South Africa to space, the Super Squad proves instrumental, with Power Girl ultimately pushing Brainwave’s satellite out of Earth’s orbit to prevent planetary destruction. The older JSA members arrive to assist, but it’s the younger generation that turns the tide. In the aftermath, Wildcat suggests adding the Super Squad members to the team, though his patronizing tone prompts Power Girl to remind him that the “kids” were the true heroes of the day.
