Lot: 1 x 5" Action Figure Toy - Loose, Complete

Killer Croc - Rogues Gallery Variant

ADVENTURES OF BATMAN & ROBIN Box Sets (Kenner) 1997

Synopsis:

Killer Croc (Waylon Jones) is portrayed as a brutish but tragic Gotham underworld enforcer whose reptilian mutation gives him immense strength, thickened skin, and a fearsome appearance that often masks a deep resentment toward society. Living in the sewers beneath Gotham City, Croc is frequently depicted as muscle for organized crime or as a lone fugitive pushed further into isolation by betrayal and prejudice. The series leans into his pathos, presenting him not just as a monster but as a man warped by circumstance, making his clashes with Batman as much about empathy and injustice as brute force.

The Kenner Adventures of Batman & Robin action figure line brought the characters from the Emmy-winning Batman: The Animated Series to life in throughout the mid-1990s, capturing the aesthetic and noir-inspired designs of the animated show with highly posable figures, playsets, and accessories that were beloved by kids and adult fans alike. The line complemented the TV series’ sophisticated storytelling and helped cement the show’s influence on 90s pop culture by making its interpretation of Gotham’s characters a tangible part of fans’ toy shelves, while also fueling the broader collector market for animation-based action figures that continues to thrive decades later.

The Adventures Of Batman And Robin Rogues Gallery was a boxed multipack from the Kenner toy line featuring eight of Gotham’s most notorious villains in a thematic jail cell-style display. The set brought together Joker, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Clayface, Man-Bat, Killer Croc and the Phantasm, with minor to significant repaint variations to their carded counterparts along with their signature accessories, serving as highlight collectibles from the late-1990s action figure line inspired by the acclaimed animated show.
