Kalosi Enrekang Coffee (Coffea sp.) is a renowned Arabica coffee produced in the highlands of Enrekang Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is commonly associated with the profile of traditional Toraja coffee due to its geographic proximity and similar processing methods. It is grown at altitudes ranging from 1,200 to over 1,700 meters above sea level, contributing to its complex and distinctive flavor character. Its flavor profile typically features medium to low acidity, a full body, and deep earthy notes balanced with hints of dark chocolate, spice, and ripe fruit. Most farmers employ the traditional Indonesian wet hulling method, which enhances the body and produces a robust and distinctive flavor. The beans are typically large, dense, and bluish-green after processing. Kalosi coffee is primarily cultivated by smallholder farmers using semi-traditional farming practices. The cool mountain climate and fertile volcanic soil significantly influence the bean density and flavor development.
